47s Heavenly Father Loves Me

From January 26th...

I SURVIVED CHANGES AND HERE I AM IN MY HOOOM ESPERANZAAAA. with the same comp too!

I love this area so much hahaha I never want to leave.

So we had a cool experience yesterday... We have a fairly new investigador named Fand we called his house Sunday morning to wake him up for church. His mom answered. Aaaaand yelled at us haha. I DONT WANT THIS RELIGION IN MY HOUSE BECAUSE I DONT LIKE IT!! and stuff like that. Soooo. We were like well thats that then. And we go to church. And. F shows up. WHAT! yes. I love it. Hes 16. it was just awesome. Proves that he will do what he wants, what he knows is right. Problem is we need the moms signature for him to get baptized. haha. dangit. But were working on it.

I read James in the New Testament this morning. It is such a sweet book. I think its my favorite in the Bible besides the 4 gospels in the beginning of the NT.

Ah! We found a little abuelito yesterday. Hes so cute. Were gonna get him going to church by getting the Elders Quorum Pres (ANTONIIIIIII) to carry him out of his house to a car to go to church yay! We have only taught him once but we talked about how he can get sealed in the temple with his wife who died 6 years ago and they can be together in heaven. hes excitetd :D his name is A.

My new zone is awesome! My zone leader from the south, Elder Hughes, had changes and came to Esperanza to be my zone leader AGAIN haha. Now Ive had 3 zone leaders twice in different zones, Elder Torres, Elder Osmond, and Elder Hughes. Elder Osmond just got called as Assistant to President!! Yay! We all knew he would haha.

Something weird..... I go home first in my zone with Elder Hughes and my companion Hermana Castellanos in August. Were the oldest ones in the zone..... Thats not okay. Not ready for that.

Read James. Read the Book of Mormon. I LOVE THE BOOK OF MORMON.

CON TODO MI AMOR,

46s Life

From January 19th...

So we havent been having a ton of success with investigators, but we have with inactives!!!

Last Sunday we did divisions with the Laurels in our ward. On divisions a few days before I had found a joven who looked bored and was drawing in the sand and so we talked to him and I felt the Spirit SOOO STRONG in those moments and I knew we had to look for him. So Sunday we go to look for him. Hes sleeping and his mom runs us out of the house. But who do we find? Who is his neighbor? Sara. Sara R. and her son David S. We meet Sara and find out she is a member, was baptized many years ago and hasnt been to church in years. We talk to her about enduring to the end to get eternal life. She says the closing prayer, thanking God for the incredible coincidence of finding her and she thanks Him for sending the hermanas to her house again, and starts crying. A few days later we go back and invite her son, David 27 years old, to meet with us. He went through seminary and everything but went inactive for years too. We take out their like 9 Books of Mormons and wipe the dust off of them together. David calls his also inactive girlfriend so we would talk to her and invite her to go to church with them on Sunday. We go back a few days later and share a wonderful message about repentance and the Atonement of Jesus Christ. And Sunday, we didnt have investigators in church, and we were really sad about something that had happened over the weekend too with a few missionaries. We were just really sad. And then after sacrament the doors open and in comes Sara, David, and his girlfriend too. I just got up and hugged them and started crying. Even the Bishop had a face of shock. Heavenly Father loves us. And then one of our investigators showed up too. It was a wonderful experience.

I love you all!!!!!

45s Better Letter

from January 12th

Sorry my weekly letters have been so bad lately haha. I havent felt like writing. So I promise this one will be better :)

S. went to church...Who is S? Hermana Saldate and I found him in July. JULY. Hes a joven of 16 years. It was through a HUGE spiritual prompting that stopped us both in our tracks at the same time that led us to find him. And then I was confused when I left Esperanza that first time. We had dropped him because he wasnt going to church, reading, praying. I was confused, why was the prompting from the Spirit SOOO strong to talk to him? But when I came back to Esperanza, I found out Hermana Saldate and her comp had found him in the street one day and he was like hey, why dont you visit me anymore? And started visitng him. So we got there and the first lesson we taught him was about our purpose on this earth and how we have to choose to pursue eternal life by our daily small decisions. And now, finally, he went to church. in a white shirt too! he was so cute. Not only that, but he made a promise to himself, a new years resolution, that he would read the Book of Mormon every day. When we teach him again this week we are going to challenge him to be baptized. His cousin is serving a mission in El Salvador and he is the only member of the church in his family. Not for long :D

I LOVE being in la Esperanza again. I asked President in interviews if I can stay another change. We will see :D Sometimes I feel more like a member of the ward than a missionary haha. I like it like that. I love it here. I hope I can get sent back to San Luis too :P

My ward mission leader is so golden. So pilas. His name is Christian and he only has 21 años. He came home from his mission early for health reasons and all he wants to do is go back. He has such good ideas for the ward and we are changing a looot. Hes awesome and we are sooo grateful for him.

Divisions are so fun!! Exchanges? How do they say it in english haha. I love learning from all the other hermanas.

Health. Chikunguya. Im getting a lot better. Promise! Now I only have some pain in my ankles and feet. My hips hardly swell up now!! But its not more than I can handle. Im doing super well. After 7.5 weeks... Im almost okay :D

DANGIT Im sorry I have to go!!! How does time go by SOO fast??
Love you all!!!!!!
